What makes our church different? More than you might imagine.

Unitarian Universalists (UUs) don’t claim to have all the answers. We believe that spirituality, God, ultimate truth, and the meaning of the universe are mysteries too vast to be fully expressed in human language. Rather than fear uncertainty, we embrace it with curiosity, gratitude, and wonder.

We have no creed or required beliefs. Instead, we share our individual journeys, learn from one another, and recognize that no single person or tradition possesses all truth. We strive to listen with respect, speak with compassion, and grow together—even though, being human, we don’t always get it right.

Our worship services are followed by an open discussion, where everyone is invited to reflect on the message. We value reason, critical thinking, and honest conversation. No one is expected to accept an idea simply because it was spoken from the pulpit.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Tullahoma celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2023. Our congregation includes atheists, agnostics, pagans, Christians, and many others. How do people with such different beliefs build a caring community together?
